Talk about Tomb-sweeping Day 清明節（お墓参り日）の話
First, what is Tomb-sweeping Day?
On the day, we visit our family graves to tend to any underbrush and weeds that has grown out of hand around the grave. Weeds are pulled, dirt swept away and joss sticks, food and paper money is offered to the departed.
And, you should ask why?
We believe that the spirits of deceased ancestors looked after the family even when they are gone.
Hence, offering of food and spirit money could keep them happy in the spiritual world, and in turn, the living family will continue to prosper through good harvests and more children from the ancestor’s blessing. It is also a festival for remembering and honoring ancestors, in other words, celebrating with ancestors(the departed) like another Spring Festival! We even can’t be born without our ancestors!
今日、４月５日は、中国の清明節（お墓参り日、Tomb-sweeping Day、Ching Ming Festival）です。（毎年の4月5日前後）
そんな悲しい日でもありません。ある意味で、祖先と団欒する日です。
週末、親からの電話で、「今年も帰省して一緒にお墓参りできなかったね」と残念がっていました。それで、お墓参りの写真も送ってくれました。なんだか祖先に年一回の挨拶もできなくて、申し訳ない気分です。
いつも、親は私の分も含めて、おじいちゃんおばあちゃんのお墓、またおじいちゃんのお父さん、おじいちゃんのおじいちゃん、おじいちゃんのおじいちゃんのおじいちゃんのお墓まで参りに行ってくれています。
お墓が残っている限り、お墓への道を知っている限り、行っています。
そういうお墓はどういうところにあるでしょう。
その時代を考えたら、もちろん土葬でした。
山の奥の奥。基本的に専門家に選んでもらって、風水がいい所です。
目の前に川があり、視野が広がり、背中にきれいな山に支えられている所とか。
山の奥の奥で、年に一回しか行っていないので、行くたびに、薮を削って、道を開拓しながら山登りしています。
今年も、母が薮にちょっと刺されて軽いケガ報告を受けました。。。
死んだ人はどうして生きている人を見守れるの？
特に輪廻転生を信じている人にとっては、理解しかねると思います。
うん、民間信仰を語り始めたら、長くなりますが、例を言うと、
あまりにも不幸の人が、占いに行ったら、通常祖先のお墓が汚くなっていないかと聞かれます。
それで、お墓をきれいにしたら、通常悪運が去り、よい運に恵まれます。
自分の場合、なぜか、実家のおじいちゃんのおじいちゃんのお墓の風水が良くて、うち一家の繁栄ぶり（かな？）を羨ましがっていて、そのお墓を壊した人もいます。
早速お墓を立て直しましたけど。
だから、その年、足首捻挫しちゃいましたか。
って感覚です。
